October 13, 2021
Talia (foot) won't play during the 2022 season while rehabbing his injury and due to family reasons, 7 AFL reports.

Rory Laird
Bags 40 disposals in win
MAdelaide Crows
August 22, 2021
Laird recorded 40 disposals (14 kick, 26 handballs) and made eight tackles during Sunday's 98-54 win over North Melbourne in Round 23.
ANALYSIS
Laird was exceptionally consistent throughout 2021 but a lack of goalscoring effort meant most of his hard work went unrewarded. Should things improve on that front in 2022, Laird should have no issues being one of the top midfielders in the league.
Ben Keays
Excellent in finale
MAdelaide Crows
August 22, 2021
Keays scored two goals to go with 38 disposals (20 kicks, 18 handballs) and made six tackles during Sunday's 98-54 win over North Melbourne.
ANALYSIS
Keays spent much of the season as the top fantasy option from his club and sealed that status with two majors and the second-most touches of any player on the field. Should the Crows step up their game in 2022, Keays will have an important role to play.

ANALYSIS
O'Brien picked up a knee injury before Round 22 and will miss the final two rounds of Adelaide's season. While the first half of the season wasn't the best showing from O'Brien, he picked up his pace by the end of the year and still proved he's one of the top ruckmen in the league, finishing with 29.4 hitouts per game.

MAdelaide Crows

MAdelaide Crows
August 15, 2021

ANALYSIS
Sloane matched season-high for kicks (16) and marks in Saturday's contest while also pacing Adelaide in clearances. He also netted his best tackle aggregate since May 8 in the loss. The performance left the veteran midfielder with his first 100-point fantasy showing in 13 rounds and the Crows leader in fantasy scoring versus Melbourne. Sloane exits Round 22 now averaging 84.59 points a game in 2021, fifth-highest among his teammates.
Paul Seedsman

The 29 year-old has enjoyed a strong start to the month of August, averaging 33.5 touches, three clearances and 2.5 marks and tackles each a showing to go along with a combined 19 inside 50s. Out with knee injury
RAdelaide Crows
Knee
August 10, 2021
O'Brien will miss Round 22 against Melbourne with a hyperextended knee, according to Head of Football Adam Kelly. "Pleasingly he will not require surgery and is expected to recover fully but that may not be in time for the Round 23 clash with North Melbourne."
ANALYSIS
O'Brien had found his game at the end of July but now has an injury concern to deal with while there's just a couple of weeks left in the season. Given the quotes from club management, O'Brien's status is currently doubtful through the end of August.

MAdelaide Crows
Groin
August 10, 2021
Crouch missed the SANFL match over the weekend and won't return until next season, according to Head of Football Adam Kelly.

Active in loss
MAdelaide Crows
August 7, 2021
Seedsman logged 31 disposals (17 kicks, 14 handballs) during Saturday's 55-51 loss to Port Adelaide in Round 21.
ANALYSIS
Seedsman topped 100 fantasy points for the first time in three weeks as he upped his possession stats just enough to make a difference. Lately, it's been more difficult for Seedman to consistently reach the disposal numbers he needs to get that score, which also means he has a lower scoring floor.
Rory Laird
Logs 31 disposals in loss
MAdelaide Crows
August 7, 2021
Laird scored two behinds to go with 21 disposals (nine kicks, 22 handballs) and made eight tackles during Saturday's 55-51 loss to Port Adelaide in Round 21.
ANALYSIS
Laird was a key figure in the Showdown but if he'd turned those behinds into majors he may have won the contest on his own. He's scored over 100 fantasy points in nine straight weeks, though his numbers look even better when he's able to balance out his handballs with a few more kicks.
Will Hamill
Takes concussion in loss
DAdelaide Crows
Concussion
August 7, 2021
Hamill suffered a concussion during the Round 21 loss to Port Adelaide, according to Michael Whiting of AFL.com.
ANALYSIS

Taylor Walker
Not considered for selection
FAdelaide Crows
August 5, 2021
Walker wasn't considered for selection in Round 21 against Port Adelaide.
ANALYSIS
Walker had been caught in the news for some behavior this week and didn't even make the emergency list for the Showdown against his local rivals. Riley Thilthorpe will become more important in the absence of Walker, who has scored 48 goals in 17 games this season.
Elliott Himmelberg
Not on injury list
FAdelaide Crows
August 3, 2021
Himmelberg didn't appear on his club's injury list ahead of Round 21 against Port Adelaide.
ANALYSIS
Himmelberg had supposedly picked up a knee issue in Round 20 against the Western Bulldogs but it shouldn't hamper him against the rival Power. He's scored five goals in his last three games and offers average value for a forward.
Jackson Hately
Won't be selected
MAdelaide Crows
Groin
August 3, 2021
Hately is dealing with groin soreness and won't be available for Round 21 against Port Adelaide. Additionally, Head of Football Adam Kelly doesn't expect him to return this season.
ANALYSIS
Hately has only played twice all season due to a problematic groin injury and may not be called upon until 2022 if things don't change quickly.
Chayce Jones
Has chance to play
FAdelaide Crows
Quadriceps
August 3, 2021
Jones (corked quad) is listed as a test to return in Round 21 against Port Adelaide, according to Head of Football Adam Kelly. "Pleasingly he's (Jones) progressing quite well, he did some running today and the way that he's making progress we think he'll be a chance to play this week,"
ANALYSIS
Jones picked up the injury in Round 20 agains the Western Bulldogs and is on track to make it a quick return if he can participate in Thursday's training session.
Rory Laird
Solid in loss
MAdelaide Crows
July 31, 2021
Laird logged 25 disposals (10 kicks, 15 handballs) and made 10 tackles during Saturday's 105-56 loss to the Western Bulldogs in Round 20.
ANALYSIS
Laird took back the mantle as the Crows' best weapon as he led their midfielders during a tough loss. With over 30 disposals recorded in all but one of the last eight matches, his form is certainly notable.
