Blackham signed a minor-league contract with the Athletics as a non-roster invitee Wednesday, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Blackham spent the 2020 season as part of the Mets' 60-man player pool, but he failed to make his major-league debut. The 27-year-old recorded a 2.60 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over 55.1 innings with Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse in 2019 and will get the chance to work with the major-league training staff during spring training.
