Wuilfredo Antunez

Antunez was a little late breaking onto the prospect radar after signing out of Venezuela for just $10,000 in 2019, but he is a strong target in deep dynasty leagues this offseason after a loud 2022 campaign. He had a 121 wRC+ as a 17-year-old in the Dominican Summer League in 2019, didn't have a season during the pandemic year in 2020 and didn't get assigned to an affiliate in 2021. In 2022, he tallied a .298/.459/.536 slash line with four home runs, 11 steals and more walks (23) than strikeouts (19) in 26 games across complex ball and Single-A before a leg injury cut his season short. Antunez boasts plus raw power to go with plus speed and a solid approach. He primarily played center field last year and also saw a few games in right field, so he should be able to add some value with his glove. Given that he turns 21 in May, Antunez needs to continue to produce as an older prospect at Single-A and High-A, but he has high-end tools worth speculating on for now.
