Hawks Cruise Past Pistons On The Road
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Detroit Pistons, 122-104, at State Farm Arena on Monday evening.

The Hawks (2-1) got over the .500 mark and bounced back following their recent loss while defeating a young Pistons (0-3) team that remains winless. Led by an impressive effort from Trae Young, Atlanta established the tone of the game quickly and built a 28-18 lead following the first quarter -- and they never looked back afterward. Even though Detroit won the second quarter (36-34), they didn't stand a chance the rest of the way and Atlanta pulled away for good in the third after a 33-25 score. Atlanta also won the final quarter by two points (27-25) en route to an impressive 18-point victory. Atlanta shot 51.1 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from deep, while the Pistons shot 44 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from three-point range.

Trae Young was the best player for the Hawks in this one, as he ended with 32 points and nine assists while shooting 13-for-21 from the field, and John Collins also delivered a strong effort with 22 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kevin Huerter each chipped in 14 points -- Bogdanovic also added three boards and Huerter dished out four dimes. Cam Reddish added 17 points off the bench.

Kelly Olynyk and Saddiq Bey led the Pistons in this one as each ended with 21 points -- while Olynyk also added six rebounds, four assists and three steals, Bey also contributed seven boards and three dimes. Josh Jackson had 18 points, and Isaiah Stewart added 13 points with seven rebounds. Killian Hayes had 12 points and added three assists.
