ANALYSIS
Wood was an irregular part of the Lakers rotation in 2023-24, appearing in 50 games with averages of 6.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17.4 minutes before missing the final 26 games of the regular season with a knee left knee injury that required arthroscopic surgery. He proceeded to miss the Lakers' win over the Pelicans in the Play-In Tournament and didn't appear in any of the team's five games in its first-round series loss to the Nuggets, though he had been upgraded to available for Games 4 and 5. The Lakers' roster has yet to fully take shape for 2024-25, but Wood likely won't be in store for a major uptick in opportunities even if a key rotation piece or two heads elsewhere this offseason.
