  • 8:00 a.m: Fnatic (FNC) vs. Complexity (coL)
  • 11:45 a.m: Spirit (SPI) vs. MAD Lions (MAD)
  • 3:25 p.m: Heroic (HERO) vs. Vitality (VIT)

Fnatic vs. Complexity

The first match of Monday's slate is a huge one between world No. 3 Fnatic and a surging Complexity side that has been in excellent form. Fnatic come into this match after a disappointing 2-0 mauling at the hands of ZywOo and Vitality in BLAST Spring. Meanwhile, Complexity have been playing in admittedly lower-level competition, such as Home Sweet Home Cup, but they have been dominant in each and every one. Fnatic are slight favorites, and if Brollan can return to form, he should have the firepower edge, especially with the form flusha and KRIMZ displayed in BLAST Spring. The Swede's are currently bootcamping and will hope to turn around a disappointing showing in DreamHack Masters Spring, going 1-2 in the group stage. Complexity, on the other hand, will look for excellence from k0nfig and oBo, the two stars of the side who have the firepower to compete with the very best in the world. Complexity will also look towards their deep map pool, with their permanently banned map being Overpass, Fnatic's best map. Complexity will try and bring the series onto Dust 2, Mirage or Nuke, three maps where Complexity boast excellent stats, especially a 76 percent win rate on Nuke.

Prediction: Fnatic 2-0 Complexity

  • FNC Players to Target: Brollan ($12,900 Captain, $8,600 Flex), KRIMZ ($11,700 Captain, $7,800 Flex)
  • coL Players to

Spirit vs. MAD Lions

The second match of the day is another from the lower bracket in DreamHack Masters Spring, this time featuring the quickly-rising CIS side of Spirit versus the Danes of MAD Lions. This looks to be by far the closest match of the day, as both teams are on good form and looking to establish a strong run. Monday's showdown should be the match of two young superstars, as mir and Bubzkji go head-to-head. In the last three months, Bubzkji has a 1.19 rating, while mir edges him with a 1.25 thanks to a slight edge in nearly every category. The supporting casts could also provide the key edge that each side needs, especially the AWPers; if iDISBALANCE or acoR can have an exceptional performance, such as acoR's vs. ENCE on Sunday, that could shut down even the very best riflers in the world. The map veto should play a huge part in the match, as Overpass and Vertigo are likely to fall off the board early, leaving Dust 2, Train and Inferno as likely destinations, three maps where skill can out-shine any sort of team play. Overall, if everyone is at their very best, MAD Lions should have the advantage, but CS:GO isn't played on paper. The Spirit trio of mir, chopper and iDISBALANCE have been in scintillating form, and with their reasonable salaries, they could be the value of the slate.

Prediction: Spirit 2-1 MAD Lions

  • SPI Players to Target: mir ($11,100 Captain, $7,400 Flex), chopper ($10,500 Captain, $7,000 Flex)
  • MAD Players to Target: Bubzkji ($12,000 Captain, $8,000 Flex), sjuush ($10,800 Captain, $7,200 Flex)

Heroic vs. Vitality

The third and final match of the slate should also be the most one-sided of the day. I hesitate to say that one player should single-handedly decide the match in a five vs. five game, but ZywOo has been in otherworldly form recently, putting together one of the most dominant runs in the history of CS:GO. The French rifler ended BLAST Spring with a 1.46 rating in 12 maps, a rating that many superstars would be happy with over a single map. His Vitality side qualified for the BLAST Spring finals off the back of that excellence, especially in the final series vs. NiP, where ZywOo was the only member to go positive in the Vitality victory. Heroic will look towards the firepower of stavn and niko to make a difference in the match. The former of those two players is the most important for Heroic, as they massively lack the firepower to challenge Vitality. However, if stavn can have an exceptional performance, Heroic have a chance. The map veto should be the most important of the tournament for Heroic, as they look to keep the map pool as team-focused as possible; this will push Heroic towards Nuke or Inferno, two maps that Vitality are happy to play. The other options for the Dane's is a risky pick, such as Dust 2, where Vitality have a poor 47 percent win rate, but a map where individual talent could reign supreme, and against a lineup of ZywOo, shox and misutaaa, very few teams would take that gamble. If Vitality show up with the same form they showed in BLAST Spring, this looks to be a very one-sided series, barring a miracle from Heroic.

Prediction: Heroic 0-2 Vitality

  • HERO Players to Target: stavn ($11,400 Captain, $7,600 Flex)
  • VIT Players to Target: ZywOo ($14,100 Captain, $9,400 Flex), shox ($10,200 Captain, $6,800 Flex)
