FaZe Clan vs. Vitality

It's championship Sunday in BLAST Spring and the day kicks off in Europe with FaZe Clan and Vitality playing the consolidation final, with both teams looking for a match against the up-and-coming Complexity side in the grand finals. Vitality are in scary form, and for once it's not due to ZywOo, the awesome AWPer has finally received help from his team, with shox and apEX both stepping up with excellent lower bracket performances. During championship Sunday, though, the stars of Europe will be out to play and ZywOo will need to be at his insurmountable best if he and Vitality want to make the grand final. FaZe Clan have lost only once this tournament, to Complexity, and they will be out for blood and for a rematch Sunday, and Vitality are right in the international roster's way. If FaZe Clan want to earn their rematch with Complexity they will need their young stars of Bymas and broky to step up, against Complexity on Saturday they struggled mightily, any similar lapse will see Vitality in the grand final. The veto for this is likely to end up similar to these two teams last clash on Thursday, with Nuke, Dust2, and Inferno maps that both teams will happily play and a veto that slightly favors Vitality. This match is truly a toss up, if ZywOo shows up, it could be one-sided to Vitality, if Bymas and broky provide the young firepower they were brought on for, it's hard to see Vitality match that. Overall this match should be incredibly tight, and between NiKo and ZywOo it is absolutely packed with star power.

Prediction: 2-1 Vitality

• VIT Players to Target: ZywOo ($13,500 Captain, $9,000 Flex), shox ($10,500 Captain, $7,000 Flex)

MiBR vs. Evil Geniuses

Championship Sunday will feature both the consolidation and grand final from Europe before a late 6:30 grand final in North America featuring a rematch of the upper bracket final between MiBR and Evil Geniuses. The upper bracket final was incredibly close, ending in an overtime on Map 3 to send MiBR into the grand final, and Evil Geniuses into an incredibly tough match against FURIA. EG were up to the task though, taking FURIA down in three maps and continuing their incredible run of form against the world No. 4 side. The rematch looks to be an extremely tightly-contested affair, with MiBR in better form, but EG with the star power to upset anyone. Individual performances will be the deciders Sunday, but not necessarily from the stars - FalleN, fer, CeRq, Ethan those players all should and will show up, if they don't then that will be the match decided right there. The difference-makers will be stanislaw, trk, tarik, the players that don't always have personal performances to right home about, stanislaw lead his team past FURIA with an incredibly strong man of the match worth performance Saturday. If he takes that form into Sunday than EG are one of the hardest teams in the world to beat, with threats from all angles at all times. If not, then MiBR could find similar gaps to exploit, just as they did in the upper bracket final. The veto will be crucial but is likely to be identical to Friday's match - these two sides have ended on Dust2, Train, and Inferno in all three of their last three meetings. Overall, MiBR have the form advantage and are slight favorites, but it will be hard to look past a surging EG side.
