Green has withdrawn from his Oct. 23 bout against Dwight Grant, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear why Green was forced to withdraw, but the UFC has already filled his spot with Francisco Trinaldo for the Oct. 23 card. Green won his first fight for the UFC back in February when he defeated Phil Rowe by unanimous decision.

Green defeated Phil Rowe via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 258 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a considerably better effort from Green than we saw in his company debut against Daniel Rodriguez (unanimous decision loss) last May. Green got steadily better as the fight progressed, with the second frame being his best. His full offensive arsenal was on display, as Green landed both of his takedown attempts in Round 1 before scoring a knockdown in Round 2. This was a solid effort, but outside of a 36-second knockout loss at the hands of fellow UFC roster member Jalin Turner back in their Bellator days in 2017, Green still has yet to fight anyone of note in his near five-year MMA run. He may just get that chance in his next time out.

Green will take on Phil Rowe at UFC 258 on February 13, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Green took the loss in his last fight in May at UFC Fight Night, falling to Daniel Rodriguez via unanimous decision. His next opponent, Rowe, nicknamed "The Fresh Prince," hasn't lost a decision since April of 2015 and owns a 7-2 professional record. Meanwhile, Green is 9-3 in professional fights and has won six of his last seven fights.

Green lost to Daniel Rodriguez via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
In for an injured Kevin Holland (shoulder), Green isn't going to be happy with his effort, but he deserves full marks for going the distance against a tough customer on just days notice. Although he clearly didn't possess the power or fluidity of his opponent, Green stood in the pocket and handled everything Rodriguez threw his way without issue, in what was an extended kickboxing match. The 27-year-old, who has bounced between different organizations throughout the course of his career, deserves another shot with the company and will almost certainly receive it given the fact he agreed to "save" this fight on such short notice.

Green is expected to face Daniel Rodriguez at the UFC Apex Center on May 30 in Las Vegas, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Green owns a 9-2 record as a professional, with all nine of those victories coming by way of stoppage. He's currently riding a six-fight winning streak, last competing in August of 2018 (though he did have a January fight cancelled). Green has spent much of his career competing at lightweight, but this matchup will presumably be contested at 170 pounds. As such, he'll be at slight disadvantages in both height and reach. It will be difficult to prepare and make weight for a UFC-caliber opponent on short notice, but saving this fight should buy him plenty of good will with UFC brass moving forward.
