Struggles continue in Vegas
FlyweightUFC
June 4, 2022
Adashev lost to Ode Osbourne via KO (punches) at 1:01 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a poor enough performance that Adashev's roster spot might be in jeopardy despite the fact he was coming off a unanimous decision win over Ryan Benoit last July. Facing an opponent in Osbourne with legitimate stopping power in his hands, Adashev was clipped with a right hand which turned his lights out. Referee Keith Peterson was slow on the stoppage and that resulted in Adashev absorbing a couple of unnecessary additional shots. The 29-year-old Brooklyn native entered the UFC in June 2020 on the heels of three-straight victories with Bellator, but he's gone just 1-3 in four bouts with the company and is now sporting just a .500 mark in eight career fights. There's no upside here.

February 25, 2022
Adashev will take on Ode Osbourne on June 4, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Adashev lost his firsttwo UFC fights, but he bounced back with a unanimous decision win over Ryan Benoit in July. He hasn't fought since then, as a scheduled January fight against Kleydson Rodrigues fell through for undisclosed reasons. His opponent, Osbourne, only has marginally more UFC experience, going 2-2 in four fights with the promotion.

Adashev will take on Kleydson Rodrigues in a flyweight bout at the UFC event Jan. 15, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Adashev is coming off his first UFC victory back at the end of July when he defeated Ryan Benoit by unanimous decision. That came after he started his UFC stint with back-to-back losses. Rodrigues will be making his UFC debut after just earning at contract for his performance in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series.
Picks up first UFC victory
FlyweightUFC
July 31, 2021
Adashev defeated Ryan Benoit via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC on ESPN 28 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Believe it or not, Adashev didn't accomplish a ton in what ended up being a lopsided victory. He battered Benoit with a few vicious leg kicks in Round 1 and essentially coasted the rest of the way. Adashev did have to survive being knocked down late in Round 1, but he was never in trouble the remainder of the bout. Adashev has some pop in his hands and is aggressive on the feet, but his defense is lacking and he has just seven professional bouts under his belt. On the bright side, this fight most certainly saved his job following back-to-back losses to begin his UFC run.
Fight against Benoit rebooked
FlyweightUFC
July 5, 2021
Adashev's upcoming fight against Ryan Benoit has been rebooked, according to Nolan King and John Morgan of MMAJunkie.com.

The bout was expected to take place May 8, and now it has been rescheduled for July 31 -- the same date where Adashev was expected to fight against Juancamilo Ronderos. Adashev will look to earn his first UFC win in his third attempt.
