Struggles continue in Vancouver
StrawweightUFC
June 10, 2023
Oliveira lost to Diana Belbita via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC 289 on Saturday in Vancouver.
ANALYSIS
Entering as a slight +115 underdog, Oliveira showed little in her fourth UFC bout. Her lone offense of the evening was a pair of successful takedowns resulting in 4:06 worth of control time. On the feet, she was dominated, trailing Belbita by a 154-85 count in terms of total strikes landed. Oliveira received an opportunity with the UFC despite being knocked out by Marina Rodriguez in just over three minutes on Dana White's Contender Series Brazil back in August 2018. She made her official company debut in October 2021 and has lost three of her four bouts with the UFC, including her past two fights. The 26-year-old old will probably be fighting for her job her next time out.

Takes loss despite late surge
StrawweightUFC
November 19, 2022
Oliveira lost to Vanessa Demopoulos via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Vegas 65 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Oliviera tried to use her stalking karate style to overwhelm Demopoulos, but it became clear early that she was unable to get back to her feet after being taken down. The Brazilian fighter was able to corner a tired Demopoulos and unload shots at the end of Round 3, but she had taken so much damage on the ground in the previous two frames that the end result was a foregone conclusion. "Spider-girl" will be dangerous against anyone at distance, but she will not survive at this level without some serious improvements in her takedown defense and ground game. She falls to 13-6-0 in professional MMA due to the loss.

Secures first UFC victory
StrawweightUFC
June 18, 2022
Oliveira defeated Gloria de Paula via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Austin, Texas.
ANALYSIS
Oliveira is officially in the UFC win column. Whether or not she deserved the victory is up for debate. Lacking the technical prowess of de Paula on the feet, Oliveira attempted to close the gap by firing off a ton of volume. She attempted 303 total strikes compared to just 205 from her opponent. Oliveira landed 17 less total strikes (116-99), to give you an idea of how inefficient she was. Her pace also dipped considerably as the fight progressed. On a more positive note, Oliveira did land a pair of takedowns in Round 3. The Brazilian hasn't shown much over the course of her brief time with the company, although there is still theoretical upside here considering Oliveira won't turn 26 years of age until this coming December.
