Knicks Looking To Bounce Back Against Timberwolves
The New York Knicks will host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.

The Knicks (22-22) are coming off a disappointing loss against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday. Julius Randle and R.J. Barrett co-led the Knicks in scoring with 18 points each, and each had a double-double as well -- Randle grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out three assists, while Barrett pulled down 12 boards and handed five dimes to go along with two steals. Mitchell Robinson had 10 points and six rebounds. Immanuel Quickley had 12 points and Obi Toppin had 11, both off the bench. New York has gone 4-2 over its last six games, and the loss against the Hornets snapped their three-game winning streak. The Knicks have gone 11-12 at home this season.

Kemba Walker (knee), Nerlens Noel (knee), Cam Reddish (ankle) and Derrick Rose (ankle) have been ruled out for this contest, while Luka Samanic (heel) will be a game-time decision.

The Timberwolves (21-22) are coming off a commanding 20-point win over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, and that was a statement win for a franchise that’s clearly on the rise based on their performances of late. During that victory, Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 26 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks to pace Minnesota. Patrick Beverley collected 10 points, four rebounds and four assists. D'Angelo Russell registered seven points, three rebounds, 12 assists and two steals. Jaylen Nowell led the bench with 17 points, two rebounds and four assists while Malik Beasley had 16 points, two rebounds and three assists. . Minnesota has gone 3-2 in its last five contests and owns a 9-12 record on the road.

Jordan McLaughlin (COVID-19) is out for this game, but he will be Minnesota’s lone absentee.

Warriors Kick Off Seven-Game Home Stand
The Golden State Warriors play host to the Detroit Pistons at Chase Center on Tuesday evening.

This marks the first game of a seven-game home stand for the Warriors (31-12), as they will look to bounce back from a loss in their most recent contest and add to their, 18-3, home record. Klay Thompson is expected to be ready to go for his fifth game back, after averaging 13.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists, over four games played. Andrew Wiggins is averaging 17.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals, over the last 10 games. Stephen Curry (hand) missed the Warriors' last game and is questionable for action on Tuesday. The Warriors are averaging 109.9 points per game, and they are holding opponents to a league-low 102.0 points per game.

Meanwhile, this marks the first game of a four-game road trip for the Pistons (10-32), as they will look to bounce back from a loss in their last game and add to their, 3-18, road record. Frank Jackson (COVID-19) has missed the last two weeks of action and remains questionable for Tuesday. Kelly Olynyk (knee) has been out since mid November, but he is listed as questionable for a return. Jerami Grant (thumb) is expected to be out for at least another week, which means Saddiq Bey and Hamidou Diallo will continue to see a bigger role on offense. Bey was quiet in the last game, but he is averaging 18.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists, over the last 10 games. Diallo is averaging 15.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.1 steals, over the last 10 games. The Pistons are averaging 101.4 points per game, which is second fewest in the league, and they are giving up an average of 111.3 points against.
