2023 Fantasy Outlook
Elliott broke out with a career-high 96 tackles during his one-year stint in Detroit, and the Dolphins will now count on him to fill a starting void at safety across from Jevon Holland. He could be primed to take another step forward under new DC Vic Fangio. Read Past Outlooks

Finds new home
Elliott signed a two-year contract with the Steelers on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Elliot will join his fourth different team in four years after stops in Baltimore, Detroit and Miami. The 26-year-old started 15 games for the Dolphins last season, recording 82 tackles (53 solo) and seven passes defended, including an interception. Although a starting job won't be certain for the veteran safety, he should at least bolster the depth in the Steelers' secondary in 2024.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to play Week 18
Elliott is expected to make his return in Week 18 against the Packers, according to Justin Rogers of the Detroit News.
ANALYSIS
Elliott sat out Week 16 and has already been ruled out for Week 17 due to a shoulder injury, but the Lions are optimistic that the safety will be available for the regular-season finale, which could have playoff implications depending on how the cards fall in Week 17. Per Rogers, Elliott's full range of motion in the shoulder has essentially returned.

2021
Detroit has been looking for a second safety to operate next to Tracy Walker, but neither Will Harris nor Duron Harmon did much with their opportunities in the starting role over the past couple of years. Now, Elliott will get a shot to make a name for himself on a one-year contract. However, Detroit also spent a second-round draft pick on another safety in rookie Kerby Joseph, who figures to be a part of the rotation at safety at a minimum. This factor could limit Elliott's playing time, and it's possible that Joseph takes over the starting role outright.
