Jazz Uses Late Surge to Get Past Hawks
The Utah Jazz defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 116-98, at StateFarm Arena on Thursday evening.

The Jazz (7-1) had to come from behind in this one and overcame a slow start to get past the Hawks (4-5) despite playing on the road. Atlanta jumped out to a 16-15 lead in the first quarter, and that one-point differential was maintained during the entire second quarter (24-24), but the Jazz began to turn things around in the third quarter, outsourcing their opponents by a two-point margin (36-34). Utah pulled away for good in the fourth quarter, though, as they raced out to a 16-6 lead in the first 5:09 of the fourth quarter and never looked back. Atlanta was unable to recover, and the Jazz ended winning the game rather comfortably.

The Jazz were depleted but Jordan Clarkson was the best player, as he led the team off the bench with 30 points and four rebounds across 31 minutes. Joe Ingles finished with 19 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Mike Conley posted a double-double of 13 points and 11 assists, and Bogdan Bogdanovic also chipped in with 23 points. Rudy Gobert contributed on both ends of the court since he posted 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Trae Young didn't have his best shooting performance but still paced the Hawks with 21 points while adding four rebounds and seven assists. Clint Capela had a double-double of 13 points and x
10 rebounds, while John Collins (13 points) and DeAndre Hunter (14 points) scored in double digits as well. Cam Reddish delivered four points off the bench.
