Cavs Hold Off Blazers Rally To Earn Home Win
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 107-104, at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Wednesday evening.

The Cavaliers (5-4) moved over the .500 threshold with a strong win over the Blazers (3-5) in a game where they had to come from behind first, only to grab a comfortable lead and ultimately hold off a late rally from Portland when Cleveland had built a double-digit lead. Portland jumped out to a 26-23 lead following the first quarter, but Cleveland responded by outscoring the Blazers by a 10-point margin (37-27) in the second quarter. Cleveland made it a double-digit game after winning the third quarter by three points (27-24) and they held a 10-point advantage with just 12 minutes left on the clock, but that's when the Blazers tried to turn things around. Portland won the final quarter 27-20, but that was not enough and Cleveland still escaped with the victory by just three points.

Jarrett Allen was the best player for the Cavaliers in this game, as he ended with 24 points and 17 rebounds, while Collin Sexton also surpassed the 20-point mark thanks to a 21-point performance that also included three rebounds and two assists. Darius Garland chipped in with 19 points and 10 assists, while Evan Mobley contributed an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double. Cedi Osman had 12 points and Dylan Windler added 13, both off the bench.

McCollum had 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists, while Norman Powell contributed 23 points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Anfernee Simons impressed off the bench with 15 points.
