Warriors Defeat Hornets, 114-92
The Golden State Warriors defeated the visiting Charlotte Hornets, 114-92, at Chase Center on Wednesday.

While there were nine ties and nine lead changes in the first 30 minutes of this game, a 19-7 run to end the third quarter grabbed Golden State their victory. That actually was the icing on the cake in a 61-40 second half. The 92 points by Charlotte was their lowest total of the season. The Warriors ended up shooting 49 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point range while holding the Hornets to 37 percent from the field and 28 percent from long range. In addition, Golden State out-assisted Charlotte, 33-18.

The Hornets (5-4) were led by Miles Bridges and his 32 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. Gordon Hayward amassed 23 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. LaMelo Ball accrued 14 points, five rebounds, eight assists and four steals. No other player had more than seven points or two assists.

The Warriors (6-1) were led by Jordan Poole, providing 31 points, three rebounds and four steals. Stephen Curry collected 15 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. Andrew Wiggins generated 14 points, six rebounds and three assists while Draymond Green tallied five points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Damion Lee led the bench with 15 points while Gary Payton II dropped 14 points.

Both teams return to action on Friday, with Golden State staying home to face the New Orleans Pelicans and Charlotte traveling to play the Sacramento Kings.
