Grizzlies Grind Out Home Win Over Nuggets
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the visiting Denver Nuggets, 108-106, at FedEx Forum on Wednesday evening.

The Grizzlies jumped out to a great start at home with an, 37-19 lead after one quarter. The Nuggets responded in the second quarter, outscoring the hosts, 36-19, to cut it to a one-point game by halftime. The score stayed tight to start the third, but the Nuggets closed the quarter on a, 12-7, run to take a five-point lead into the final frame. The Grizzlies turned it up early in the fourth and rallied to a six-point lead mid way through the quarter. The Nuggets punched back for a brief lead, but the Grizzlies came up clutch in crunch time to seal the impressive home win, defeating the Nuggets for the second straight game.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 22 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two assists, in 30 minutes. Ja Morant followed up with 18 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals, while Desmond Bane and Kyle Anderson chipped in 16 points each. The Grizzlies shot 52 percent from the field, including 16-of-34 from deep.

Meanwhile, Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 34 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and two steals, in 35 minutes. Will Barton followed up with 26 points, seven assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block, while Michael Porter Jr. tallied a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. The Nuggets shot 47 percent from the field, including 8-of-27 from long range.

The Nuggets (4-4) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Rockets on Saturday. The Grizzlies (5-3) take on the Wizards in Washington on Friday.
